My New Rig

Howdy the fire,

I don't do leather anymore, in fact I was never that good at it anyways, So I been gettin my stuff from Paul Combest (Red Dog Leather) outta Kentucky.

I got this in the mail today, I waz home sick so the photo isn't that great, buy I just had to show it off. I requested a double crossdraw for 7 1/2 Remingtions. I wanted to use the officers buckle as one of my new looks will be a scout for Old Top and Cole Harbour. I also got an extra left hand strongside holster if I get tired of the doubles. It is darker brown than the pix shows...and if the pattern looks familar, it is from a rig on the inside cover of Packin Iron.

I have 3 rigs from him, and Old Top had a "spagetti western" rig made for 8" Schofields.

And I guess the holidays slowed him down a bit. I sent him my check on Dec. 7, and got my rig today...<g>

thank you kindly, Considering the work I see on this forum, I take that compliment with pride. He does do good (no, great work.)

I wish I could do even the little bit I used to do but the arthritis is gradually eliminating things, the guitar is going now, can only noodle a few minutes at a time.

Here is a rig he did for Old Top. It is actually made for Schofields. (thats why the Remington don't fit..)

And finally here is my main match rig Paul did for me. It is a Left hand, left hand crossdraw, and I had him do an extra strong side incase I wanted to not use the crossdraw.
