Digital powder dispenser?

I've been looking at one of those fancy digital powder dispensers - speciifcally the RCBS Chargemaster.  Now, like most things sold for reloading, this says its for smokeless powder only. I wondered if any of you other darksiders had seen this thing or even used it to dispense black powder?  I'm more thinking the precise loads for long range rifle, etc. You don't need this thing for main match stuff obviously.

I know we've been through the static thing before and I'm one of those who uses a Dillon 550 to load BP cartridges all the time (with the Black Dawge kit) and also my MEC is set up to load the holy black.  I'm just curious about this fancy measure thing -- seems it would make loading the big stuff precise and easy.

I use a "digital" powder dispenser for very accurate charges.  The third and opposed first difit hold the scoop, while the second(index) digit taps it.  My body came with two, they're called hands :)

Hey Tangle Eye, don't pay no never mind to Jack, he must have lots of time on his hands.  I use my RCBS Powder Dispenser and Digtal Scale exclusively for my black powder long range loads.  Works like a charm and really speeds up the reloading process, which for these loads is tedious at best.  While it's dispensing the next charge, I'm putting in the wad and compressing the load for the previous one after putting it through a 24" drop tube.  If I want to save time, I can even seat the bullet by going to the bullet seating stage in my Dillon 550, but normally I run them through the single stage for both seating and crimping.  Try it you'll like it.

Thanks McLintock.  I load mostly black so that would be a lot of money for a powder measure I could use only with smokeless.  While I'm perfectly comfortable using my Dillon  powder measure (on the 550 with an aluminum powder hopper) I have no experience with this RCBS measure.

Do you use it as is or have you modified it in any way? I think minor static setting of powder is a myth but I'd like to be as safe as possible with it.

I use it as it came out of the box; if there's any indication of static poping around, I spray with anti static stuff and turn on a small room humidifier I keep in the reloading room.  Gets rid of it in a hurry; but I've read those reports on static and black powder and tend to believe them, so don't worry about it too much.
