Alfonso Pinada Gun Leather From The Past

Howdy Gents
                I thought some of the leathersmths out there might like to see some of the holsters I had made by my old friend, the late Alfonso Pinada,of Alfonso's of Hollywood, it just goes to show you that good quality leather and craftmanship, leather can last a long time, when taken care of, my holsters have always been kepted in my home and in the same enviroment as myself, this makes the difference in the life span of the leather. The three western quick draw rigs are from 1966 and 1967, the others range from the 70's thru the 80's, the western rigs have seen the most use.  All I've done to keep them in gooshape is to rub them down with neatsfoot oil, when they looked like they were getting a little dry. The shoulder holster is for a 44 mag. Dan Wesson, with an 8" barrel, and the holster comes off and can be attached to the gun belt that has the speed loaders on it , ( just below )

Wow those are some nice looking rigs.  You had the honor of brushing shoulders with one of the premier gun leather makers of recent history.  Hold on to those pieces.  They might be worth some bucks later on.  You have kept them in great shape too.  I agree with your statement of high quality gun leather lasting a long time.  You are a lucky  fella.  Regards.  Deadeye.

              Thanks for the kind words, Alfonso was a great guy, with a wonderful personalty, and sence of humor,when I was a young guy he used to help me out with some of my gun fighter leather needs, and was always there with advice when I needed it. I used to spend time with him in his back room , where all the work was done , my holsters are just a humble example of his work he was without a doubt one of the greatest leather artest of his time, and I miss him, and those times just talking in his back room . His son Omar has taken over his business, and is in Burbank California, and he is also putting out some beauitful product. Alfonso was equally as good with his six guns..
