 ;D

I have a Uberti Forged Frame Conversion ... and It lost the tiny screw when Tuolumne Lawman sent it to me. ( rats  :( ) anyway the little screw that holds the ejector keeper spring was lost
no big deal...
as I had the spring ( I set it aside ) and did without, just careful to not drop the ejector rod out when I drop the lever to disassemble.

So I emailed Suzanne Webb @ A. Uberti Spa...
She sent 4 of the rascals... to bad they were the wrong little rascals ..so today she emailed with an apology and is express mailing the correct (I hope) screw.. most likely will get 4 of those too...

I have to say in 30 years as prop maker and buyer I have had very good service from Ubreti.
I purchased back when Allen Arms was in Business, and then Cimarron, Navy Arms ,&Taylor's.

I was no big fish in the pond, just a small once in awhile buyer...

Is your gun the Uberti "pre-made" conversion? Or a forged frame cap & ball converted via a Kirst/R&D?

It was one of the first guns in country , the very Forged Factory Conversion TL did his Gun review article for.

Ms. Webb came through just as she promised. A second envelope arrive just today with the correct screw(s)
Looks like she sent them the next day, so four days from Gardone.
I've already installed it in the gun... ;D

The earlier screws are the rammer pivot screw(s)....

I must say I enjoy this Remington Conversion... I want to do something to get a better grip though...
I refinished the Factory grips ( did away with the redish varnish)... But I think I'd like to checker or something.
The pistol seems to slip roll more in my hand than my 1860 Army R&D conversion or my 72 OT with the same loads.

I don't think I want a tight Checker .. something more like Selleck's Cable Type I ..
Anybody have Checkered grips on their Remy's and might post a photo ?

Don't have a picture, but a pard here has a 32 Colt Long NMA Remy Conversion that has checkered grips(original Grips, checkered) and boy does it feel GOOOOOOD in your hands. Shot where I pointed it too. It had more heft than I was used to(due to the small hole in it, but Boy Howdy does it feel good and shoot! I might try to trade for it.

Major.....

There's an old thread over on the voy blackpowder forum in which Wayne posts a link to a photo of his '58 Rem with checkered grips. I figure you might want to have a look at  it , even though it's got tight checkering. It seems to look good on that particular Remington, with the color case hardened frame.

Here's a link to the thread......

I like the looks of that case-hardened frame. It almost makes me want to return to Remies. Those darned Colts have me hog-tied!

A good sharp knife will cut that rope.

Careful. Once hooked, it's a one-way journey.

It does look good ..on the case Remy  ...
the checkering is little modern for my taste though

BUT ! I love my COLTS... and I'm very fond of this new FFC Remy too !
I thinks I can handle being hook on both  ;D

Lessee, I'm hooked on Remmies, Colts & Winchesters. Could be worse, there are still Smiths, Merwin-Hulberts, Marlins and a few others.  ;D

Marshall Will,

Ya gotta keep away from them Merwin-Hulberts!

Yeah, I got to watch my cousin fall into ruin over 'em. I just don't handle them because I know how they can lure in an unsuspecting person. And then, M-H is talking about being back in business again soon. Oh, hell, I know they'll probably win in the end.
