Who here has put a Bisley grip on their Blackhawk?

I like the grip length of the Bisley, but, do I need to mess with the trigger or hammer in the process?

Otherwise, I think that the Ruger Blackhawk 45 is about as perfect of a six gun as one could hope for. (single action, anyhow)

I am in the midst of converting an old Vaquero.  I am replacing everything.  As I understand it, the trigger is located a bit differently within the triggerguard.  I have heard of just changing the hammer, but it gets complicated! The trigger has to be changed as well, etc., etc.

Yup.  I have swapped a Pair of K-Super Blackies & a pair of K-Vaqueros to Bisley config.  Ain't done any blued models yet.   ::)
Ya need:
Bisley grip frames & screws
Bisley grip panels
Bisley hammers
Bisley triggers
Original springs are fine
Patience
& maybe a gunsmith, too.  Because (if they are new)--You will have a fair amount of filing & polishing.

If you swap the hammers only, (SASS won't like that) you will have to grind some material off'n the back sjde of the hammers for cocking clearance.

Mounted shooters can make the hammer swap only & still be within SASS regs, I understand.

Dakota:  I see by your title, you must be NCOWS.  And NCOWS will not allow any Ruger Bisleys.  Colt Bisley & clone Bisleys are fine with them.  But that is a whole saga there that I will not go into here.
