Plot Summary: "3:10 to Yuma" stars Russell Crowe, Christian Bale, Ben Foster, Gretchen Mol and Peter Fonda in a modern take on the classic western by Elmore Leonard from producing/writing/directing team Cathy Konrad and James Mangold ("Walk the Line").

In Arizona in the late 1800's, infamous outlaw Ben Wade (Crowe) and his vicious gang of thieves and murderers have plagued the Southern Railroad. When Wade is captured, Civil War veteran Dan Evans (Bale), struggling to survive on his drought-plagued ranch, volunteers to deliver him alive to the "3:10 to Yuma", a train that will take the killer to trial. Yep, I always thought the bad guy (Glen Ford) would have been a lot more agreeable if the good guy (Van Heflin) had shot him up a little bit......

I didn't like that western because Glenn Ford was always a good guy before, and he didn't seem like a natural "bad guy" or the right "fit" for that role.  Just my opinion.

Yes, but I considered him to be a very flawed good guy actually, so I think he fit the part well.

I give the movie 5 shots out of 5 for "Spencerosity".
Not only did Dan Evans and his son brandish a big bore Spencer carbine throughout the movie, but a deputy even had a Spencer Repeating shotgun when Ben Wade was captured!

DeadEye Donna and I both enjoyed the movie, and it was full of action, even though I thought the ending was a bit "Spaghetti".
