Hey all:  Went to my club's monthly shoot today.  Beautiful weather and great time making smoke.  Took the Remington .44 and .36, the Colt .44 (60 Army) and the .36 (61 Navy).  The smokers shot well with only, during the second stage, did the Army burp..my fault, didn't snug one of the caps tight enough and it fell down and shut down the works with 2-cylinders loaded.  Great time though.  The caps are #10 Remington with Tresco nipples.  Thought that should do a little better or at least somewhat less touchy on the seating them hard...learn and learn some more.
Happy Labor Day weekend to all.

Everyone in our bunch uses cap "pushers". Something non metallic and not a portion of your anatomy that is the approximate size of a cap. After the caps are on the nipples, give them a firm push to insure that they are seated.
Some use a fan pull with a 3" long 3/16" dowel threaded into it. Others use a pencil, eraser end.
Solves your problem.
