Just curious if anyone has seen or heard about the new Rodeo II that USFA is coming out with.  Was on their web site tonight and saw mention of it.  It is to be a nickel satin finish with burlwood grips.  They had a picture of it and the picture showed the gun with black plastic grips.  Supposed to come out in the fall of 2007.  I wonder how much more the II will be over the original black Rodeo.

Never cared too much for that flat black finish on the regular Rodeo but I think I could go for one of the new ones!  I like the look of that matte nickel finish.  Wonder what "Burlwood" is?  They have it in quotation marks so I'm guessing it's not real wood.  Always figured that a flat, non glare nickel finish would be ideal for a working gun, offering plenty of protection from the elements.

Samples of the Rodeo II have already been shipped to our Showcase dealers.  Pricing has not been established yet but figure on $75-95 increase over the standard Rodeo.   "Burlwood" is a slightly lighter brown that originally came on the Cowboy but with black "streaks" similar to a walnut burl.  Colt had a similar grip (brown with black) many years ago.  Screws and trigger are a carbonna blue, the same blue that is on the Pre War.

Let me also say the Remington project is moving along and I've been promised both the percussion gun and the 1875 prior to the end of the year.  This doesn't mean we'll be shipping but I am promised shooters.
