In the Thuer's case they actually made at least 3 ... I know Mike Harvey has one, and I know Uberti has one on display at Gardone.
The other belongs to a German Museum curator.
There may be more but I don't know for sure.

I starting to think the Type II Richards , may be heading there < again, I know Mike has one, I held it ! I know Uberti has one on display.
and dangit  ;) Bootsie  ( in Germany ) has had one for about a year ....  ;D  the rest are will'o'wisps  :-\

There was some thought years ago, concerning the Lightning & Thunderer, but USFA ditched the idea.

when planets align...do the deal !

IMO, it's a shame that there isn't a bigger market......ya know, if they was SASS legal.... there would be product available to buy right now.

Maybe someone needs to start a DASS.  Build a market and someone will come along to cater to it.

Look what happened when Walt Raleigh took tobacco back to Europe.  ;)

Hey 4t Rod,

Great idea!  It's called NCOWS.  We allow DA in all categories.  Had a DA Championship side match [3 stages + shoot off] at a regional in May.  Y'all come and shoot them with us! ;D

Somebody is gonna have to put an NCOWS bunch a site closer than Bakersfield.  Besides, I don't much like DA revolvers...'bout as much as I like DA semi-autos and modern breech loaders...and would check it out a lot before I invested any money in one of 'em.

Thanks all the same, though.

I thought I'd point out that Remington offered double action versions of their revolvers, "back in the old days". Might be the cheapest lowest risk path to test the double action market. Diffferent internals and trigger guard but everthng else looks the same as a regular 1858 NMA. These D.A. Remmies were sold with a two-piece conversion cylinder for cartridges and a regular percussion cylinder for loose power/ball loads. That still sounds like a pretty attractive notion to me! ;)

I know it isn't a 19th century peice, but didn't S&W offer some new HE's and 1917 service models during the time they were marketing their run of retro breaktops?  I remember wanting one badly; but my third divorce seriously impeded toy acquisition at that time.  But, like the breaktop reissue, (and my third marriage), the run was of limited duration.
