Having ones own tank could lead to an interesting situation.  You're cruising down the freeway and Mr. Cop decides to pull you over.  You duck down inside and button up.  Mr. Cop raps on the hatch and hollers "Come outa there!"  You holler back:  "Come in and get me!"   Case closed!

That happened in Calyfornia a few years ago, guy stole a tank and went round crushin' things.  Course he wouldn't stop till he got stuck,  cops unlatched the hatch and threw a bunch a 9mm lead inside and solved the problem.  I've been told you can latch it, but not lock it.

By the way you don't have to watch many of the cops vidio shows to see it, one of the most common run ones.
