TOPO Map with directions to SMVS range

For those that are planning on attending our first meeting on the 25th of August here are a couple of maps to the range. If for some reason you don't make it to McDonald's by the time we leave for the range these instructions will get you to the range without too much difficulty.

Take Indiana Hgwy 37 from Indianapolis south to Martinsville Indiana. Go to the fourth stop light which is Mahalasville road. Turn left (if coming from the north) Go approximately six miles to Bear Wallow road, turn right, go approximately 2.2 miles. Range is on left hand side of road and is marked. don't be too apprehensive about the steep hills, the area we will use is flat and easy walking.

If we hold a long range match on top of the hill, we will have a vehicle that will ferry people back and fourth to their automobiles.............. Unless you feel real energetic and would like like to walk up and down for some exercise Primitive camping only on top. We are already talking about hosting a three day long range shoot in the spring. If you get lost in the forest...I've added GPS coordinates for those that have one....

Thanks for the map Bill, as far as I know now, I'll be there. Looks like the long range section could use a little trimming here and there. Should we bring any tools for this or wait 'til it cools off  this fall?

The meeting in august is just to take everyone over to the range and show them around....I think we will probably wait till it cools off to do any trimming...
