Hello SSS,

Just received my copy of Roundball to Rimfire, Part II: A History of Civil War Small Arms Ammunition by Dean S. Thomas.  Of the various chapters, chapter 6 deals with the Spencer history; and Spencer cartridges w/photos.  Also has information on Gallager, Merril, Sharps, Smith, StarrHall, and Joslyn firearms among others.

  Howdy Pards!

  Volumes or Parts 1, 2, and 3 are great.  But I was somewhat disappointed in Part 3, on Federal pistols, revolvers, and miscellaeny.
  A nice series all-in-all!
