I am partial to OTs, but really like the KBP-5F-I ROA (stainless, fake ivory, fixed sights) since I handled one.  It certainly had that Ruger ruggedness.

In looking at the fluted 45 conversion cylinders made by R&D and sold by Taylor's and others, I see the warning that they are to be used ONLY with "cowboy" loadings.

Can someone kindly clear up my ignorance and explain what it is about them that makes them inappropriate for standard loads?  Walls too thin, or what, 'zactly?

Thanks,
W.T.

Basically, a "Cowboy" load is up to and including a standard 45Colt lead bullet smokeless load, not one listed "for Rugers only, or Thompson Contenders".

Even the "New" Vaquero is not warranted for the Ruger Only loads.

Basically, R&D and Kirst are not in the market to be sued over a user's desire for a 45 Magnum.

The cylinders work very well, shoot as accurately as a Blackhawk, and are a ball to  shoot.
