Which rig?

I've now turned my attention to gun rigs. Trying to get behind the nuts and bolts of it all. The ones that really attract my attention are a leather shoulder holster, one of those "lightning spring" shoulder holsters, and afew belt holsters.

So, which rigs do you use/recommend for my 1858 Remmie? It's the 5 1/2" barrel model. I've heard that these don't have much problems with the Colt-style holsters.

Anyone use one of those spring-clip shoulder rigs? Are they any good for speed?

I was also looking at an ambidextrous universal "one-size-fits-all" Hunter Company holster, but not sure if that'd be right for me.

I'd rather not shell out $300 or so on something fancy. I can just get something plain and maybe put a concho or 2 in.  ;D

Howdy,
I use a COWS Huckleberry shoulder rig for a Beretta Stampede or an old model Vaquero. Both guns fit fine. I tried to put one of my '75 Remmies in it , it fits but the long barrel lets the sight hang up on the draw. Grouchy Old Bear at Liberty Leather made the belt holsters for my '75s. Nice work and reasonable. Check his site, He might be able to fix ya up.

Nice Jake.  :)

I bookmarked their site. Is the "huckleberry" the shoulder rig with the knife sheath also? Looks kind of versatile.
