I am presently looking for a 12 Gauge double-barrel shotgun. I was looking at the Remington SPR220 on their website, and I was told by someone that these were manufactured in Russia.
     Can anyone else confirm this..?

Yes.

I got a Modell 1889 Remy SXS in 12 GA that I might part with. I cut it down to 19 1/4" bbl because it had been dented on the right bbl about 6 inches from the muzzle. she shoots good and she is tight as a tick. Damscus Pattern, over fluid steel bbls. Grade 2.

Yep.  At the Tula Arsenal which is where a lot of AKs and such are made.  Yeah, they used (?) to be Commie guns, but they're sure stout and dependable.

According to the article, Remington stopped making handguns in 1993.  What handguns were those.  I've always heard that the sweet little 32 ACP and .380 semi-auto (mod. 51)  that was made in the 1920s was the last handguns Remington made - at least the last ones sold to the public.  1911s for the Military during/after WWII don't count, IMHO, 'cause they weren't made/sold publicly.

I think the modern pistols they made were based on thier bolt action rifles in rifle calibers.

Yep.  I forgot about those bolt-gun pistols:  XP 100 or something like that.
