need tools

I got my carving book in....and oh brother. I need tools. ...I dont guess there is any kit with various stamping tools ?...I found one, but its only got like 5 tools....or who would have the best price on the stamping tools ?

I started with Tandy's Basic 7 kit. It had a swivel knife and 6 stamps. The stamps include a bevel, shader, camoflage, seeder, veiner and a background tool. You can do a whole lot with just those items. Once you get the feel for them, then you can pick up others (or make your own) as you need them. Here's the link to the tool set:

Thats the Basic 7 set. Thats what I started with too. Most of my stamps after that I bought on Ebay or found at auctions/antique stores. I also wait until Tandy has a good sale, then go to a local Tandy and buy a few. If you decide to piece together the tools you want, definately look at a ball bearing swivel knife. They run so much smoother than the less expensive versions, and you will wonder why you didnt buy one before. Good luck. DM
