Nope Charlie.  Just need one.  Figure I will keep in in reserve for potential conversion to cartridge by one of the expensive pros!  But that will have to wait for my next windfall.  Thanks for the courtesy.

You could not do better than the one up for bid I'm thinking.
Well if you get outbid I may step into the fray.......maybe.

I need a rifle more than I need another pistola right now. Looking at 1860 henrys and 1866's too. in 45LC. or even originals Winchesters(not 1866's don't have enough for them).

Charlie:
It is an auction, so if you want to bid, please feel free.  More of an impluse buy than anything, but dang, it would be a good catch.

Dusty, you still in the fray or out on the Centennial? Going a bit higher than I'd like......but.....it's in fantastic shape...but...............I'm still watching.
I'm going to a small CW Reenactment this morning and I'll peruse Sutler Row. Never know what might turn up.

Well Charlie.  It topped my max.  The irony of these things is that this revolver, with same $200 reserve, got no bids through at least two cycles.  It's all about timing.  It has a few days for me to stew over it.  Good luck today.

Well I jumped in with both feets! If it tops my max they can have it.

Didn't find anyhting outstanding at the Re-enactment, but learn a thing or two. No original guns there That I could afford and then just CW longguns.

Was fun and the Rebs won this morning It was cool they had at least 3 Cannons on each side, Cavalry on the north, Berdan(in Green uniforms) Sharps shooters, etc. The Rebs had Louisana Zouaves, and several units I cannot recall but it was very colorful and loud.

They go again at 3:00 Pm and I may go back. They're just a mile thru the pucker brush from me.

A couple good buys on a Navy Arms 1860 Army and a Pietta Remy, but I was looking for a 1860 Henry, twern't one on the place. Did see lots of Colts and Remy's though.

Seth it's on Auction Arms 1960 new Model Army

well the skinny is that they are made on the old machinery from Liege and they are considered re-issue rather than reproduction, because of Leige's license from Saml. Colt in the 1850's.

Bootsie gave us the heads up on them. I have had one in my hands a few months ago and it was pretty nice even though it had been shot a lot since 1960. Rifle has that one now.

That one and the one Rifle bought from Kittery in Maine are two of the nicest ones I've ever seen.
I'm trying to buy the one off of Rifle too. It'be really nice to have a pair in that condition.
Then I'm done Colt buying(is one ever really done) as I'd have a pair of 44 Armies and the 36 1851 Navies (2nd Gens).

I'll root for you Charlie.  I am out.  If only I had had this urge the last go-round on the 1960!  :'(

Halfway Creek Charlie

I got the Belgium 1860 on Auction Arms.

I also snagged the one that Rifle bought from Kittery in Maine. So now I have a pair coming this week. I guess Maybe I was tryin' to corner the market. Not really , once I got the one from Rifle secured, I thought it'd be nice to have a pair.

I needed another set of 44 Cal. as I have all these .454 Balls crying for to be fed into something and me without a 44 on the place, save for my original Remy Conversions.

Now the Original Remys have back up, the 2nd Gens Navies have backup and the 1860's have the others as back up. It's good not to have too few gun's I'm thinking.
Dusty I think there will be more of the Centennials coming up for auction  before too long, and maybe the fire will die out and the prices will be a bit more affordable too. Yep You should have jumped on it the first time around. i'd never seen it but a pard on Voy Forums 6408 (blackpowder) posted the link as we were all looking at the one Rifle bought.
