I know the conversion has been made for the marlin rifle to handle the cowboy 45 special shell.
Has one been made for the yellowboy yet and is it available?
if not does anyone have a idea when it might be available?

thanks in advance.

AJ can answer this better than I but I'll give it a shot.  Happy Trails is working on a carrier for them but it is not in full production yet.  I think there are prototypes or a short run out and working right now.  Hap is in poor health and will contine with it when he gets well again.
So the short answer I guess it that they are coming, just a matter of patience.
He any good?
He's killed more people than smallpox!
Well hell, introduce us.

The above is correct, mostly.  Hap has a short run done and they are being "wrung out" by a few shooters who have them installed.

Hap is on the mend following open heart surgery and is back in the shop  trying to catch up.  I have sent an email to Hap in the last 24 hours asking for an update on the carrier project.

Before he was sidelined, Hap had a CNC guy lined up for a goodly sized run of carriers, but they had not been made yet.  I've left him alone since he went under the knife, so I have no further info, but expect some shortly.

thanks for the update.

I just wanted to know if someone was working on one for the yellowboy.

I hope the surgery went well for Hap.

Got email from Hap today.  he's getting back up to speed, working a few days a week, trying to get his "regular" work done.

Meanwhile, his CNC guy went belly up, and he's been shopping for somebody to make carriers from scratch, as this is preferrable to modifying stock carriers.  The project is pushed back for now, but still "in the works"

Wish i had better news (trust me, I got oodles of folks who would make the switch to C45S if they could run em in ther toggle links), but that's what we got for now.

If anybody has any contacts with a CNC machine shop interested in making the brass carrier blanks, pass on the info to me via email, and I'll give Hap a heads up.

Ho the fire,

If you've got good working drawings I may have a source for the manufacture.
