Since buiying a few guns, I dont have a barrel of money to stomp around in now,,,so,,,,I got to eat my grapes carefully.

River Junctions hats....The Wyatt,,or the Hickok ? They both touch my darkside (went over to the darkside early on) ....

Is the Wyatt hat acceptable as 'historic corect?'

I gather the Hickok is,,,but it might be a big 'wide' for my taste as 'full time wear.' (see,,I wear these hats every day,,,to the store, bank, doc, etc)

If the Wyatt hat is historic proper,,,id say id go with that one...some lcd lights and christmas garland and im set to go !

Serioulsy,,whats ya boys thoughts on these two hats ?

Bill, they are sharpe..very..Tim Allen evidently does his research also.

I will make my move eventually,,,,just being 'funds aware' right now Bill,,,spent a heap on firearms so I gotta be careful.

I wanna do it historic riight, and touch my 'vision' at the same time,,,its a tad more complicated than just buying a 'purty' hat isnt it ?

Been down that 'buy and sell off' to re-buy trail early in my life on the 18th century thang,,,wanna be more careful now,,,

I appreciate all the historic and maker advice from all ya'll..thanks a heap guys,

River Junction have nice folks to deal with.

The Tim Allen hats look great and are very reasonably priced for what is basically a custom hat!  I especially like the liner/maker's mark choice.

Another good place is from Richard Rand.  He's one of the country's foremost hat experts.  http://www.randhats.com/
