Posted this over on the Historical and GAF forums:

Thanks to St. George and Dr. Bob Dorian for putting me on to this book last year, "The American Civil War in the Indian Territory" , by Osprey Publications. I was finally able to find it at Barns & Noble this week.  It is a good source for anyone wanting to do an American Indian soldier impression during the civil war on both sides of the conflict.

It mainly deals with the conflict in the Indian Territory but is a good source on the types of clothing, weapons, horse gear they would have worn/used. Good documented photos and it also references additional material not included in the book.

Thanks for posting this!  I'm going to get over to Barnes & Noble tonight, to see if they have this...
