I recently inherited a Model 1899 Krag carbine that has been semi-sporterized and I plan on returning it to military configuration.  No metal mashing was done so it is just a matter of replacing parts and pieces.

What I need is:
Stock and forearm.  The original butt plate is in place.
Rear sight and screws
Barrel band
Magazine cutoff, plunger and spring
Front sight blade

The previous owner had it checked out by a gunsmith before he bought it several years ago and it was found to be fit for shooting.  I know since then it has nothing but cast bullet loads shot through it and that is what I intend shoot through it, the same basic load as I shoot through my original Winchester M'95 Saddle Ring Carbine in 30 U.S. Gov't caliber.

Any help for sources of the above parts will be appreciated.  Numerich list lots of parts for the Krag but has little available at this time.

Thank you.

http://www.ssfirearms.com/   Lots of Krag parts, my primary source to remilitarize my Krag.

I got a drop in carbine stock here:  http://www.e-gunparts.com/   Everything else can be found at S&S.  Get your handguard from S&S, as the one you can get from Numrich is a simple wooden blank with no clips.

THe page with the stock is here:  http://www.e-gunparts.com/DisplayAd.asp?chrProductSKU=703160&chrSuperSKU=&MC=   It fit my Krag well, only took 15 minutes or so with a Dremel to really snug it in fine.  Bit of hand sanding to smooth, couple of coats of Linseed oil finished it off.
Civilize them with a Krag . . .
