If you're friend is looking for a real Remington he's gonna have to settle for .41 rf or .41 rf or maybe .41 rf.  As near as I can tell they only came in the one caliber.

If he is in California, I do believe the Davis/Cobra is the only one legal to see these days. The Davis does come in .38 and I have one.
Thing is I haven't needed it for a regular match in years. Seems they only have side matches for them any more. Probably a safety thing.

Yeah, the drop test. That is it. Seems they drop a gun from some kind of certain distance and if it survives, then it can be sold or something like that. Funny that a derringer I paid $80 for new would pass anything. I don't think the others submitted and therefore since a certain year no more Rems or Bond. Now the Bond, that is a derringer that is well built. I saw one for sale some years ago in a case in a gunshop in Stockton. I asked about it and they told me that it could only be sold to a LEO. Huh? What does that have to do with anything? If they can buy one, then why not the rest of us that like a quality weapon?  >:(
Anyway, since I have relagated mine to be a safe queen, most of the clubs (and I have yet to see it happen down south here) that have a stage that has a pocket pistol written in, they supply one and the ammo for it too. So...........I use theirs. :)
