Does anyone know if there are any 10 gauge 20 tube or less SxS being made? I want one for the historical aspect, not to kill my shoulder. But you have to admit, 2 10 gauge tubes are very impressive!

Doc, The only 10's I know of being made today are the modern pumps and autos. Haven't seen any SxS's in print as far as I know............Buck

Zabala makes them. Charles Daley/KBI might still be importing them. I bought a used one at a local gunshop a couple months ago.

See that thingy on the tang just below the lever, push it forward and pull each trigger.

What will they think of next! No hammers!
Seriously -- I have a friend who shoots a 10 gauge every once in a while at a match. I think his load is 100gr of the Holy Black and 1 1/4oz shot (maybe more). Needless to say, the knowdowns don't know what hit 'em.

I used 2 oz loads, shot and BP via Lee dippers, for Miss. Fandango. It is a bit too much in 3.5" shells because I could not crimp them. I glued an overshot card in them. They definitely took care of the knowdowns. After the match when I went to clean it, I found that I had cracked the stock where it meets the receiver.
An amatuer gunsmith said that the stock must have a high spot where it meets the receiver which caused the crack. I will take it to a local smith to get it fixed before I shoot it again.

You can find good Remington 10 gauge SXS shotguns around fairly reasonably. I bought one about a year ago and paid about $275 for it, and I've used it a bunch for reenactments. I wouldn't be afraid to shoot live ammo out of it but would of course use BP only.
