Chocolate Kahlua Cake
« on: July 04, 2007, 02:13:07 PM »
Best darn chocolate cake you ever et. Guaranteed if you bake this cake with a bunch of women folk around you will have to beatem off with a stick.

12" D/O lined with foil and sprayed with cooking spray. Let the foil come up over the edge of the oven to use as a handle when removing the cake. Use 8 bricketts on the bottom and 16 on top. Bake for one hour, rotate every 15 minutes. No peeking until maybe 45 minutes or so, just don't let it get too dark on top. Make sure you oven is very warm to start but not to hot.

For the kitchen use a 9X13 pirex pan and bake at 350 for one hour or until a knife comes out clean.

1 box Devils food cake mix. DO NOT USE MIX WITH PUDDING ALREADY IN IT.
1 box 3.9oz. Jello instant chocolate fudge pudding.
4 eggs
8 oz. sour cream
1/2 cup oil
1/2 cup Kahlua
1/4 cup water
---------------------------------------------------
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon orange zest
1 12oz. pkg. mini semisweet chocolate chips. Reserve 1/2 cup for the glaze.

Mix the first seven ingredients together until well blended, batter will be thick. Add remaining ingredients, mix well. Pour into your D/O and put the lid on and mash it down to create the seal with the foil. Place your bricketts accordingly. When done remove the cake by lifting out with the foil and place on a rack or plate to cool a little.

Glaze
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons light corn syrup.
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
2 tablespoons Kahlua
Melt butter and syrup over low heat and add chocolate chips mix until blended. Remove from heat, add Kahlua, mix and pour over cake and spread it out.

PIG OUT
