Does anyone know how the trapdoor bayonet scabbard mounted to a mills pattern belt? I've got an original for the 2" waist belt but have yet to find an example for the 3" mills belt. All help or suggestions would be apprieciated. Thanks, Al.

There was an Arsenal re-fit done that gave the bayonet frog a long brass tongue that fit between the cartridge loops.

They also made a brass wire loop that hooked over the top of the belt and went through the belt loop of the standard leather frog. Some scabbards were modified by attaching a small bent brass wire hook to a leather frog. The hook hung from a small brass ring riveted to the bottom of the belt.

If you attend the DoM Muster this summer I'll dig out some of my reference books for you to look at.

Be advised that the hanger has a limited swivel - they don't rotate all the way.
