Major, that was myself that was interested in historic  ivory handles  early Colts.The picture is courtsey of Mr Nolan Sackett.
That is the prettiest pic iv seen in my life! WHEW!~
Having it copied to an 8 by 10 for framing.
Its also my background on the monitor.

I don't know about fake Ivory on it , most likely not.... I like the look of old aged ivory grips, yellowed maybe a fine line or two.
I just think it looks a bit out of place on a new gun.

My old 2 Gen 1860 ( 30 years of honest wear ) sports a set of Buffalo Brothers Ivory Content Faux Ivroys & the R&D Cyl.
It looks right.

I do have a set from a Kenny Howell Conversion... but they are slated for another project.
