Nice job one your grips by the way too, very nice looking.
I sure appreciate looking at fine work, and sure appreciate people whom post some pics, not enough of that around here in my opinion.

Mind if I ask what your technic to age the metal so satin-eeeee ??

I have a pair of the 5 1/2" barrelled Piettas from Cabelas. When this one encountered a cleaning mishap (some bluing came off of the barrel, don't know why all I had on it was Balistol) I de-farbed it takeing all the factory markings off of the gun, then stripped it with vinager but I did not remove the bluing completely, then I took some bluing from Brownell's and started putting light touches on the gun along with 0000 steel wool until I liked the way it looked.

Howdy There,

One nice thing is that hard use will only make this look more authentic and "old timey"!

Sorta like the saying, you can buy a tatoo but you gotta EARN a scar. Then it carries it's own STORY! ;)
