Does anyone know if any of the roughly 1500 Leech & Rigdon revolvers were converted to fire cartridges? I assume that at least a few were used on the frontier after the war, but am unsure about conversions.

Thank you in advance.

As I was kinda interested in this question, too, I wonderedif anyone had turned up any info? :)

It might be kinda neat to put the Uberti Leech and Rigdon barrel on a Kirst or R&D Converted Uberti 51 Navy.

Me I couldn't stood it some more, I took your suggestion to VTI.  I purchased not one but two (2) Leech and Rigdon barrels one a 7 1/2 inch barrel that I've installed on my 1851 brass frame Pietta. The other a 5 1/2"  on my Kirst converted 1851 Sheriff's model. I left the loading arm on the conversion like the Man with no name 1851. I really enjoy the looks and questions I get when I take them to the range. I had to have a dovetail front sight placed on the 5 1/2" bbl to get it to shoot POA at CAS distances though it was shooting 6" high with the installed bead.
Cousin we been ashooten at each other all day! How about we stop for a beer then we kin go home and get our axes. Or just as good, lets forget this whole dang feud, I'm agetten too old for this anyhow!
