I have a Winchester Model 1901 10 gauge lever action shotgun that needs to have the barrel replace.  I acquired a 416 stainless steel rifle barrel blank with a 10 gauge hole.  I need to have the barrel blank turned and threaded to match the existing Model 1901 barrel.  Do you know of someone that can do this type of machining?

Best guy I know is Eric Woods in Indianapolis.

Eric's a British Import  ;) master smith in my opinion who apprenticed at Holland and Holland in England. He loves shotguns and doubles of all kinds.

He's the guy folks in these parts take their prized pieces to for repairs etc.
If you're interested, PM me and I'll give you his phone number.

It's good to know there are a few smith's around that truly understand shotguns.  We have one here in Lincoln that is fantastic, but I doubt you'd get it done in less than a yearhe's a contrary hard to get along with fella who has far more work than he can do.  Of course we get along fine because we are both peas in a pod in many ways. ;D  Besides that my wife and his wife have become good friends. ;D
