Here's an 1860 R&D cylinder pic.

Historical note.  According to McDowell, the first conversions for the 1860 were five shot!

I was just notified that my 1858 Gated conversion and 1872 45 Colt Open tops are "author only" guns and since my FFL has lapsed, they have to be returned.

What is an "author only" gun?  Never heard that phrase.

now ain't that a kick in the old noggin  ???

Sorry to hear that, I'm still waiting on my gun ( Type II ) I think hell has to freeze over first !
it's been months, since Adler wrote his article ( I ordered mine in Feb, 06) I'm told I'm  6th in line ?????
Hope you get them back .

I'm on the list too Major, but I don't mind the wait as that usually makes me savor the moment of arrival even more!  ;)

very true.....funny though,  seems like you wait forever .....wanting.

and once you have it, the time flys by

when planets align...do the deal !
