Dr. Bob

Howdy,

I purchased an old "Gladstone" bag recently and the black finish has been rubbed off of the corners.  What is the best was to treat this condition?  Thanks in advance!

Merry Christmas to all!

Dye...

If your leather's got a 'red' appearance - it's dying.

You can sort of stablize it - but it's deteriorating.

If it's merely missing finish - you can dye it, polish it and buff it and then put a sealer like 'Tuff-Sheen' on the re-done part.

Good Luck.
