Dang,, I've got several hundred emptie rounds of .38 S&W's and some factory loads as well.
Got them many moons ago when I had a .36 cal Steel framed Sheriffs mod. Kit Gun that I converted with the old Legal Defender Conversion unit.

I found two more old Legal Defender Conversion units and plan on converting a couple of Uberti Navy's with them after I ream and throat the cylinder chambers out for either .38 Long Colt or .41 Long Colt.

I've sent an order for a couple of Loading gates so I can fit them to the legal Defender Conversion Rings, and have already finished them out to fit hammers with fixed firing pins.

Back then I payed around $7.00 a box for the .38 S&W's,,, Factory Loads !!

Got a Uberti Pocket Police I'm making a Conversion ring and Cylinder for, so I'll be reloading the .38 S&W's !!

Years ago I found some .38 S&W rounds at the range I was working at.  The boss had an old WW2 S&W M-10 M&P chambered  for the British .380/200 our .38 S&W with a 200 ghrain bullet.

Any how I decided to see how accurate this revolver was and loaded up thoose .38 S&W's in the cylinder.  The first round I fired gave a stout report and a cloud of white smoke.  Out od the 6 rounds that were loaded in that pistol, four fired.  The two that didn't I pulled apart and found a tightly packed charge of a finely grained powder.  I didn't think to weigh the charge.

Yeah I know, I shouldn't have fired the others after seeing the white smoke.

Oh Yeah, the flash hole was larger than the stuff they produce now.
Listen!  Do you hear that?  The roar of Cannons and the screams of the dying.  Ahh!  Music to my ears.
