Hi folks,

Is there anyone out there that can give me a source for a plain black cross draw holster for a 1858 Navy Remmie (36 Cal)  Euroarms, with a 6 1/4" bbl for a reasonable price?   ???  Am open to suggestions. Thanks in advance

Unfortunately, the 6.25" length is a bit odd, so you might have to end up getting a longer holster and cutting it to size.  (Very authentic method)

I go along with what  SHB says, ;D    some holsters have enough leather past the `last stitch` fer ya to be able ta shorten em with no bother, BUT, make sure ya dont cut into the stitching or you will land in a whole world of hurt!! :(

I shortened one of my holsters but what I did first was to..Very carefully UNPICK the stitching and hopefully you will have enough ta tie off again ;D

Hope this helps :D

One solution on a holster that is a bit too long. . . .(I modified one this way and it works), figure out where you want the gun to sit in a too long holster with a plugged toe, and then cut a section of wine bottle cork to take up the space and push it down into the toe. . .the muzzle rests against cork.

No need to be cutting apart holsters and fooling with stitching that way. As far as looks, no one will be able to tell the difference in a 3/4 to 1/2 inch space, the cork reenforces the toe, and the revolver is prevented from sliding down too low in the holster. I've found that most all holsters have pretty much the same leeway as far as dimensions in the throat anyway.
