Howdy,
I was just able to pick up a Puma 92 at a really good price. I have a pard who has a Rossi 92 that he has owned for sometime now, and has never had one problem with it. The one thing I really can't stand about mine are those Hi viz sights! Has anyone else replaced theirs and what kind of a pain is it? Thanks for the help.

I have two. The older saddle ring with the puma medallion has sights that are harder to see. The front sight is a post and is part of the barrel ring(?). The newer SS Hartford model has a dovetailed front sight with a gold bead and semi buckhorn rear sight that is a dream to shoot now that I replaced the springs with a kit and smoothed the innards. The older Puma still shoots well and feeds both 38 & 357 cartridges but the buckhorn & bead sights are superior. I'd like to get the sights on the older gun replaced too so I'm watching for any posts to your question.

Since I have 14+ guns, I've been called the Imelda Marcos of Cap&Ball. Now, that's a COMPLIMENT!
