Pards I got 2 58's that are in 36 caliber. They don't have the 7.5 barrel it is somewhat shorter.
But not short as the 5 inch ones that I have

I will try to post a photo tonight when I get home.

Here is the Question, When Cocked the hammer(part that goes thru the frame)From top to bottom is LOTS wider than all my other 58's.
Is this a normal thing with the 36 caliber??

It really is noticeable when the hammer is cocked.

Just wondering

Mason,
You might find that the hammer won't rest in the safety notches but rather on the raised area between the nipple cutouts on the back of the cylinder. I found I had to grind off some of the bottom of the hammer face on one gun so the upper tip would set deeper and rest in the safety notches to hold the cylinder from turning. I think it is a manufacturing oversight.

Thanks Hellgate.
I took some photos last night but did not get them resezed down to where I could post the.
That hammer on the 36's is just plumb ugly.
