How to know if a Texan has a Spencer 

Three homowners had their houses broken into.  A Liberal, a Republican, and a Texan.
Each of them had a gun

The Liberal saw the intruder and said "I believe in gun control. I ..." [Bang] and the intruder shoots the homeowner, robs the house, and escapes. 

The Republican saw the intruder, pulled out his gun and said "Stop, or I'll shoot!" [Bang] and the intruder fell. 

The Texan saw the intruder, pulled out his gun and said "Stop!" [Bang] (pause)  [Bang] [Bang] [Bang] [Bang] [Bang] [Bang]   

Of course, the Texan had a Spencer
