I went to an event demonstating farming in the 19th and 20th century this weekend at a historic landmark near Lincoln.  I was set up like a cook for an old-time threashing crew and served 51 on Sat. and 21 on Sun.  The pictueres are down on the second page of the post, down a bit on this link.

I need to go down and get more pictures of the barn with out the moder stuff their, parking is limited and the vendor space help finance the up keep on the place.  It had a lot of things for folks who wanted to know about old time farming methods, not all the demonstrators were fully period in their dress but the demonstrations were priceless.  I am proud to have been a part of it.

If the law catches up with 'ya, I'll visit 'ya in prison.  Now if you would have served them some of that good cookin' of yours, they'd have been a lot happier! ;D
I've read dozens of books about heroes and crooks and I've learned alot from both of their styles.

It was, Oscar had his kids there and they had fun just wandering around, learning about old time farming.  They had something really neat for the kids, stock tanks with about a foot of shelled corn in them.  They threw candy in and let the kids search for it.   It was also fun to take to the old retired farmers who came and warmed themselves around the fire.
