KIT CARSON:  (I found a picture of Kit Carson's Spencer carnbine and buckskin scabbard on the Kit Carson museum web site)

Abraham Lincoln: (Of course).

Lt. Fetterman (for all the good it did him)

Lt. Beecher (He had a Henry, but his men had Spencers)

George Armstrong Custer (1st Michigan during Civil War had them and 7th Cavalry at the Washita had them)

Lt. Wilder and his Lightning Brigade

Someone else that had a Spencer (I don't know how much he used it) was a fellow by the name of John 'liver eatin' Johnston.  He was the man that the movie Jeremia Johnson was loosely based on.  His was one of those Hawkins-Gemmers.
