KIT CARSON:  (I found a picture of Kit Carson's Spencer carnbine and buckskin scabbard on the Kit Carson museum web site)

Abraham Lincoln: (Of course).

Lt. Fetterman (for all the good it did him)

Lt. Beecher (He had a Henry, but his men had Spencers)

George Armstrong Custer (1st Michigan during Civil War had them and 7th Cavalry at the Washita had them)

Someone else that had a Spencer (I don't know how much he used it) was a fellow by the name of John 'liver eatin' Johnston.  He was the man that the movie Jeremia Johnson was loosely based on.  His was one of those Hawkins-Gemmers.  ;)
