Great Birthday Present!

Both of my shootin' pards picked up their model 1887 lever action shotguns last week, which I naturally had to check out. Afterwards, I told my better half of 26 years, that sometime down the road some, I would like to get one of the '87s.

Monday morning, I was out in the garage having my morning cigarette and coffee, when she came out sat down in the chair and told me to go find one of the shotguns and buy it for my birthday present (B-Day is this week). I guess she was going to surprise me with it, but had no luck locating one.

Ain't that Grand!!??

My local "candy" store is supposed to be having some come in, but they don't know when. Big gun show this weekend, that I will check out.

Got it!! They left a message on my voice mail yesterday and I went down and picked it up today! And boy, for a new shotgun, it is really slick! I'll post a pic later this weekend.

OBTW, I hit the big 54 today!

Hehehehehehehe... 54 ain't too bad. Been there almost a year. Check with me next year 'n I'll tell ya how 55 is.
