Howdy

I did read the other active thread on the subject of buckles, but I have another specific question:  Where can I get a couple of  1-1/4" Chap Buckles?  Tandy used to carry several sizes of the "Western Chap Buckles," but the only ones available now seem to be the 1-1/2" size.   I checked the Weaver Leather site, but they seem to be wholesale only and I couldn't find the buckles, anyway.  I looked at the Siegel site and couldn't find the buckle I was looking for.

Does anybody know where to get these?  The 1-1/4" size is good for everyday wear.

I have gotten them in the past from King Saddlery in Sheridan, WY.

For chaps and early belts I use the #899 square center bar buckle from Siegel of Ca www.siegelofca.com for chaps - it comes in 1 1/4", 1 1/2", or 1 3/4" and in solid brass or nickel over brass....

I used a 1 1/2" version in nickel on this gunbelt.....

Thanks for the suggestions, boys.

Nolan, you do good work.  The photograph is is also beautifully done.  Not only is my own leatherwork crude by comparison, but I still haven't figured out how to use digital cameras.

Heck, I can work digital cameras but I sure can't make great photos like Nolan's. the man's a master there, too. Hey, Nolan, how about a book on taking quality photos of our stuff?  ;D
