new old gun

Hey Fellers;

Just came into possesion of a 58 Remington with the following mark on the underside of the barrell.

Made by EN. Santa Barbara Spain.
Has a proof mark and the serial number.

Can anyone tell me anything about this gun?
When these were made?
Seems solid. I'll know more after I clean it up.

Someone on the Firing line bought one sometime back he did research and the co. in Spain makes all of Spain's military ordinance and that the SB guns were very good quality and some had bbls made by a german gunmaker.

FYI................ Pietta R and D conversion cylinder works fine in this gun. This is my gun, please don't hold me to this.  This old gun works with this cylinder...

If it fits one SB it should fit the other SB's too.....One would think.
