A couple of weeks ago a nice fella named Dave Boyd stopped by the store.  He left a CD with me and I've been listenin' to it some latley.  It's some awful nice music.  For those who read Shoot magazine, this is the CD that has came out after the one reviewed in the July/Aug 2006 issue.  The CD is called "New Horizions" and Dave's website is www.boydmusicranch.com

In out conversations I showed Dave Cas City and he is now registared here asy Davey Ray.

If you club needs a musician for a banquit or other funchion you couldn't go wrong with Dave and his wife Sharon.

Thanks Delmonico.  I appreciate your post.  Thanks also for the recomendation for events.  We have one coming up that I am really looking forward to  I am scheduled to be the entertainment for the banquet at the Powder Creek Cowboys Prince of the Pistoleers annual match in Lenexa September 9th.  My bass player will also be there singing those harmony parts.  We are really looking forward to it.  My wife will also be doing her part in the song "The Drifter & the Lady" and possibly a cowgirl poem or two.  She did one poem on the new CD and I wrote her a humorous poem about her experiences growing up on her dad's farm and a certain bull they had that discovered he liked the run-off from a trench silo.  (For you city folks, a trench silo is a trench that is filled with chopped corn stalks, milo, whatever, and it tends to lay there and ferment.  It makes good feed for cattle.  When it rains and water runs through it, the run-off contains alcohol.)  I hope she will be ready to recite the poem by then, if she can quit laughing about it long enough to rehearse it...   I hope to see some of you pards there.  Later...

I'm sure we're all interested, Davey Ray, but most of us won't be able to make it there!  Wish I could.
