All great responses, and thanks to J.J. Ferrett a correct one!  I was concentrating on the 12 gauge aspect of this thing, and it took a fine mind to see another area of usefulness!

I sure don't need it and it may have some value, so after Range War I'm gonna put it up on Ebay (yeah, I know) starting at $9.88, and donate half the profit to Cas City for use of its bandwidth.  If anyone here needs it, please pipe up now and you can have it fer that price shipped, and I'll include Cas City in the bargain.  Ought to keep the lights on here for about five minutes.

Thanks again Pards and J.J.,  ;D

DESCRIPTION
KLEINENDORST REMINGTON 700 BOLT DISASSEMBLY TOOL Like New
(I was about to put this on Ebay but wanted to use this great new GunLoads Site! This should perhaps be listed under Gunsmithing or Cleaning Supplies, but there are no such categories as yet.)

The disassembly tool uses a hook that fits into the notch in the firing pin head. Rotating the lever pulls the firing pin head back and locks it. Made of anodized aluminum with a steel hook and pivot arms.

where this retails for $26.99:

Review:

Thoughtfully designed and highly effective. Effortlessly strip a M700 bolt in under 10 seconds. Must have for all M700 owners.

Review:

This is a simple, but very well made tool. With this tool, you can disassemble a Remington Model 700 bolt effortlessly in less than a minute. In fact the first time I used it, I was able to remove the firing pin assembly from a Model 700 bolt in 10 seconds. Instructions are not included with the tool, but its use is completely intuitive – no instructions necessary. I highly recommend this device; every Model 700 owner should have one.

Review:

Well worth the money! I can't believe I have been using the edge of my workbench and a penny to disassemble my bolt all these years. This is something that Remington should package with every bolt gun.

Review:

With the Kleinendorst Bolt Disassembly Tool for the Remington 700, the bolt is now a frequent part of my cleaning. When I first got my gun last summer new, opening the bolt just about cut my finger so for the first half year of my ownership and about 300 rounds of ammo the inside of the bolt was never cleaned. This disassembly tool effortlessly opened the bolt in a few seconds. I was impressed how much grease was in the bolt. I think if I never would do anything that it would cause the gun to not fire after a couple years and in cold weather. With the help of this useful tool I degreased, cleaned and lightly oiled everything inside, and will continue to do so a couple times a year to ensure the gun will perform with every pull of the trigger.

Review:

This is by far the best investment I have made in a specialty tool. If you own a 700 you need this tool.
