Dixie rimfire casings for original carbine

Hi.
Has anyone tried the brass casings that you use a blank .22 as a primer, that Dixie sells.
It seems simple enough, insert blank, fill with black powder and press in a bullet, but does it actually work well?

Yep , tried them 25 years ago...
It's a single shot deal , won't work with the magazine ( the line up of the 22 Blank is imposable to get right every time )
It's also hit or miss, as a single shot, most of the time.
But it does, work on occasion.
And was the only game in town, until S&S made the centerfire block.

I take that back.. we converted one Spencer upper Block with a cross angle drilling an fitted a shorten 45/70 firing pin...
It worked but the S&S was the nuts....
when planets align...do the deal !
