My set up at home

I do not live in the country and i wanted to show where and how i cook WITHOUT digging a hole in the ground in the city limits. i have heard the rule in my town is the fire pit dug in the ground must be 15 feet from any structure and when using it you must absolutely be cooking something on the fire at all times if it is lit.  I will try to place a discription next to each picture to explain myself. Using a new system so i could easily screw this up.

I start the fire in my smoker. It is big enough to place 18 inch logs.

i then place coals in this half barrel I built so the coals are protected from high wind and is off the ground to not burn anything.

I will post more pics, the system says i can only send two at a time. :(

Here is some more pics. the fire pit with my 12' dutch
I have a charcoal ring from a weber smoky mountain smoker is a fine wind deflector.
next pic is of the dutch oven with the deflector around it. This does work well and of course ismnot period correct but sure helps some days.
