Its an older one, but it will work fine.
I didnt get a bobbin winder, any ideas?
Also, can anyone help me out with needle sizes, thread, etc?
Where can I get thread, what would be the best needles and thread for holsters and belts.

Thanks in advance

For the bobbin winder you could go on tippmann's website and order or make one out of a 1/4" extension and grind to fit the bobbin.

Needle and thread is available at Tandy leather. They can also show you which needles are applicable for your desired leather.

Practice on some scrap leather first as it requires a little art in executing a good stitch.  Would suggest you get a copy of tippmann's dvd that gives complete instruction on the machines use!!

I guess you could just give 'er a whirl and see what works. I had an old treadle machine that I hooked a 3/4hp motor to with a mechanical slip clutch. Anything got misaligned, the machine didn't slow down, it just kept going and the needle disintegrated. I did find what worked with it after some experimentation, though. It sure was a fast machine, too.

I wind my Tippmann bobbins on my big lekertrick machines rewinder but I did it fer a while with the little shaft, thet come with the machine, chucked into a low speed drill.  What a pain, check and see if Tippmann still sells the little handcrank version of the winder.  I never used it but its got to be better than learning the feel of doing it on a drill was!

Marshall, hook one of these bad boys up to a hot moter and you will git to see other parts self destruct along with the needle.  The handle on a Boss links up with less than half a gear rocking up and down.  Wonder why they didnt adapt it fer an lekric motor instead of going to the pneumatic Aerostitch?

LOL, on my $10 machine, that wasn't an issue.

I suspect they did it for fine control. All the air tools I own have much better at low speed than electric equivalents. An electric motor has full torque at all RPM where an air motor slowly builds into it.
