Greetings,
I have a few questions, if I may be so bold as to probably re-ask some that have most likely been asked previously:

1) is the New Ruger Vaquero appropriate and accurate as a CAS gun 'out-of-the-box'?
1a) is the New Ruger Vaquero reasonably period correct?
2) Can black powder loads be shot through them with no serious problems?
3) Is an open-top revolver (like the Cimmaron) appropriate for carrying concealed in the 'real world'?
4) do those same open-top revolvers neccessitate black powder loads, or reduced loads with smokeless?

okay, thanks, that's all that I have for now.

I appreciate it

Why, yes, I dress like this all the time. I feel very unencumbered like this, and it helps to conceal my pistols...

Sagebrush Burns

1 - Yes, they're just fine.
2 - Close enough.
3 - Don't know, I only shoot smokeless.
4 - There are many better choices.
5 - They are not as strong as solid frame revolvers.

Four-Eyed Buck

1. Yes, it is. Especially if you're new to shooting or at least single actions.
1A. Yes, the new ones are almost the same size as the Colt SAA, and from a distance is almost undistinguishable from it( I have one in .45Colt,5 1/2")
2. Guys are using BP in them, but some have reported problems because of the barrel gap being tight.
3. Lengthwise maybe not a good choice for concealed. Also better for BP or light smokeless, not heavy self defense loads.

I might be slow, but I'm mostly accurate.....
