Will daylilies do well in my S. Cal desert with full and/or partial sun?

You might say that.  Just how far is "Waaaaay", anyway??

Oh, the answer to your "Q": yes, just make sure the soil is well drained, and compost, and some mulch on top helps, but they don't like wet feet.

We had 'em sort'a growing wild in our yard in Mission Viejo, and there are many sorts of lillies in our yard here in the heat capital of the southwest; they do real well.  Unless you are blessed with a truly "black thumb", there ain't much that can't be raised anywhere in SoCal.

what OT,  I think Sod Buster sells daylillies over in his thread!

Here in Arkansas if you get them to take root, they can take all kinds of heat and dry,  for a pick me up,  just give em a drink they'll bloom like crazy again

I've come to the conclusion that anything I plant has to thrive on neglect and abuse.

Thanks, Hairy, I'll give 'em a try.

Thanks, OT. Yo, Soddy, I need a website address.

Funny topic for today, drove back from the farm today on gravel roads.  was thinkin' how neat the Day Lilies, lilacs, iris and the old heirloom roses mark the sites of farm sites long gone, but not forgotted because of them. :)

Forty don't go anywhere near airports.  I sell mine on freeway off ramps.

Forty,

Yes but it was the freeway off ramp for the airport.   ;D

Aw c'mon.  Cable ain't all that much of an airport.   More of a landing strip.  I was at the ramp going to Montclair Plaza and Cable's way past that.
