Yesterday I bought the movie Conagher with Sam Elliot.  It's a good one....Sam kicked but.

I love the smell of Black Powder in the morning!

Johnny McCrae

I think this is a great movie. I've watched it many times.

What a difference from the Roy Rogers, Gene Autry, Hopalong movies I watched in the 50's as a kid.

I really like the part where he talks about "Riding for the Brand"
You need to learn to like all the little everday things like a sip of good whiskey, a soft bed, a glass of buttermilk,  and a feisty old gentleman like myself

A long time ago, I had the movie taped from TV.  I liked it enough that I went out and bought it and gave the home made tape away.  Imagine my chagrin when I found that there were some (short) scenes in the TV version that weren't on my commercial tape  :(.  I wish I had saved the original tape I had so that I could at least see those scenes every once in a while...  I don't know why they cut those out of the commercial tape.  I could understand the other way around.  I wish they had not done that.

That is another one of my favorite Movies based on a book by one of my favorite authors, Louie L'Amour.  I think my favorite line it the movie was "Nobody gave me this blackeye, boy.  I had to fight for it."
