Ordering from Uberti

Our local Sportsmans Warehouse (sells Uberti's) let me know that the lead time for delivery on a Winchester 73 Short Rifle is 3 MONTHS!!.  Anyone else experience  this? And does anyone know why this might be the case?

I'm thinking supply and demand.
Uberti is the only maker of 73's at present.
I think Uberti is filling orders for Cimmaron, Taylor's, EMF and Navy Arms their main importers.
The 73 in all style's is in high demand.

Sportmans Warehouse is more of a production overrun bulk buyer and may get the production minor blimished extra's.

Actually, think of it as supply and demand, Italian style.
Uberti sells everything they send us, regardless of quality or quantity.  They take their time (heck, they take off the entire month of August) and we'll get what we want when it gets here.. I would not hold my breath on the 3 month backorder date either.

If you want it, find it in stock and buy it.  Trying to save a few bucks will only get you frustrated.
